What is Grasstrack?
Grasstrack racing is a form of motorcycle sport which is contested on oval flat grassland. Track sizes range from 250 metres up to 1000 metres. The usual type of bike has no brakes, two gears and have different engine size's for different classes (125cc, 250cc, 350cc, 500cc). There is also three sidecar classes (500cc, 1000cc right handed and 1000cc left handed)

Meetings take place every weekend around the country from march to november and meetings usually take place on sunday afternoons. There can be over 30 races in one event and up to 10 riders in a solo race.

Solo's can reach up to 100mph on the straights and average 70mph. Sidecars doing similar.

Grasstrack is similar to speedway and many riders tend to mix both sports to achieve success in either.
